CO DIRECTOR - STUDIO FUKSAS /
Doriana Fuksas was born in Rome where she graduated in History
of Modern and Contemporary Architecture
from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1979.
She also earned a Degree in Architecture from ESA,
École Spéciale d’Architecture, Paris.
She has worked with Massimiliano Fuksas since 1985 and has been director
in charge of “Fuksas Design” since 1997. She works and lives in Rome and in Paris.

She undertook didactic activities
at the Institute of History of Art at the Faculty of Letters and Arts
and at Industrial Design Department ITACA at La Sapienza University in Rome.
She curated four Special Projects
at the 7th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice:
“Less Aesthetics, More Ethics” in 2000. From 2014 to 2015,
with her husband, she wrote the Design column for the Italian newspaper
La Repubblica.

She won numerous awards: Awards for Excellence Europe ULI (Urban Land Institute) 2006,
International Design Awards 2009-2010, Good Design Awards 2014
(by Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design
and Metropolitan Arts), Patrimoine Award 2016 awarded
in the “State Cultural Institutions” category by French Ministry of Culture
and Communication, Paris, France.
